Pearl is currently fostered in Houston, TX and is a 5 month old puppy weighing around 30 pounds. We think she is a lab/black mouth cur mix, but with rescue it's always best guess! She will likely be around 50-60 pounds when fully grown, and will be the perfect size to load up and go on all the outdoor adventures....or pup cup outings...you can dream of!

Speaking of loading up and hitting the road, Pearl is an excellent co-pilot! She's also got some really solid leash skills already! Pretty impressive for such a young pup! Once in her new home, her family should expect to continue leash training, but she's got a really solid foundation! Pearl is also mostly crate and housetrained! She sleeps in her crate at night and eats in there too! Her new family should also plan on continuing with crate and potty training, but shes off to a great start!

Pearl shares her foster home with other dogs and cats! Her foster mom describes her as gentle and calm, and this comes out in her play style as well! While she can be a little shy at first, it doesn't take long for her to warm up to new friends, two-legged and four-legged alike! Pearl has even met children of all ages, and she is so sweet with all of them!

Pearl would love a home with some respectful kids, another playmate, and a yard to run around and sunbathe in! She is looking for a family that likes to explore nature, go out for coffee or lunch at pet friendly establishments, and who wants a well rounded, all around good girl! We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescues hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
