MUST LOVE SNUGGLES! Say hello to Pearl. This sweet girl is bound to melt your heart with how loving she is!

Pearl is a 6 year old yellow lab that comes to us from Ohio. After spending the first part of her life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill, she is looking for a family that will love her for the rest of her life. She is up to date on her vet care and weighs around 80 lbs.

Pearl is a very affectionate pup and loves to lean against your legs while you pet her. When she’s not soaking up attention from you, Pearl likes to curl up next to you on the couch for a snooze. She doesn't seem to be interested in toys just yet and doesn't play. Her favorite thing in the world is being with her people and being pet.

Pearl gets along well with other dogs, and though she's not interested in playing with them, she likes going for walks with her foster siblings. She does pull a little on the leash when she walks and will need some reinforcement with that skill. She is also learning not to jump up when she's excited and to keep all four paws on the floor. For this reason, we are recommending that she go to a home with kids over 5. Being a typical Lab, she loves treats (especially turkey and string cheese) and will be super easy to train!

Pearl already knows how to sit, comes when you call her, is house-broken, and is crate trained. During the day, she has free roam of the house with her foster's other dogs and has proven herself to be completely trustworthy. At night she sleeps quietly and soundly in her crate, though we're sure she would love to sleep with her human!

Pearl's foster family describes her as a very special girl who is going to be an amazing family member!
