Meet Peanut
Peanut is just the cutest little guy! He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 46 pounds.
Peanut is a quiet, gentle boy who seems to have more of a serious demeanor. He likes to stay close to you but is very scared and unsure about things right now. He wants to hide if he is feeling overwhelmed and afraid. Peanut really needs an experienced adopter who has the time and patience to build trust and work on confidence building. He is food motivated, which would be a great tool to use to build a bond with him and use for positive socialization. He is also very gentle taking his treats, what a sweetie. Peanut can’t wait to find his forever family who will make him feel safe, so he can blossom into a confident dog.
Peanut may prefer a more predictable, quite type of home with children who are at least 13 years old, due to his shy, underconfident nature. We do feel that Peanut is a flight risk because he is so scared, his new family will need to have a plan to keep him safe, a fenced in yard would be perfect for this.
If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Peanut would love to meet them. He has a nice soft, submissive approach and another well-socialized dog in the home may really help with confidence building.
If you are interested in Peanut and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch.
*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*
