Meet Peanut

Teeny 5-pound Peanut is about two years old. He's a bit of a typical Chihuahua -- cuddly and loving and affectionate, but also particular about strangers and possessive of his favorite people and his home. One thing's for sure, he has personality to spare and will keep you laughing.

Peanut lives with other dogs and cats fine, but wouldn't be a match for a household with children and large hyper dogs make him nervous. A home familiar with Chihuahuas would be ideal. Peanut loves to jump on your lap and cuddle into your neck, he's incredibly smart and goofy and sweet, he cracks us up with his antics. Peanut has BIG personality for such a teeny dog.

Peanut is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies, distemper, bordatella), has tested negative for heartworms, had a negative fecal test, and is micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $150.

The first step to adopt Peanut is to read all about adoption with Happy Tails Rescue Inc. and fill out an application. If we think your home sounds like a match we'll be in touch. Copy this link to go to our web site:

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Northwest Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
