Peaches's Story

Meet Peaches. 11 years young. Boxer Dane Hound pitmix. 45 pounds. Peaches. Perfect as ever. Senior girl. She absolutely loves all humans and adores kids too.

It's still active for an 11-year-old. Daily walks are appreciated. Yes, this girl loves her walks. She just enjoys daily activities, outings, hiking, and the outdoors.

House and crate trained. Cat and dog friendly. She's one smart cookie!

A minimum 4 ft fence in the yard is preferred, but we are open to discussion. Peaches are one of the too many dogs still in our care after years and years because we took a chance after chance with the wrong adopters, and now, in her older age, she is often overlooked. How is this fair for her?

Peaches is about 11 years old. Still very active and great with dogs and cats as well as children. She is active and needs a home where someone is home most of the time. A full-time companion who understands her need for people, simple walks, and lots of snuggles and cuddles but is also able to give her the space she needs within shared space. Usually a crate. She loves her crate with a big, fluffy, plushy hefty dog bed. She also free feeds meaning food is left out for her 24/7. With her energy level, she eats 6 cups a day with 3 cans of wet food in 3 separate meal refills.

Available for adoption!!!
Meet Peach, affectionately known as Sweet Peaches, a radiant soul estimated to be 11 years young, awaiting her dream forever home. She yearns for a companion present to nurture her, energize her spirit with daily walks, and shower her loving heart with tender care. Peaches is everyone-friendly.
She enjoys agility for fun, loves all children of all ages, and is very treat food motivated! Peaches is good with dogs, cats, and everyone she meets.

Peaches currently lives with cats, dogs, and rabbits indoors and happily shares her yard with visiting chickens, roosters, ducks, turkeys, and mini asshole goats. The goats push her buttons, but she remains patient and disciplined.

Her only requirement is someone home most of the time. Ideally, another independent dog to share life with would be ideal but not a must. Lots of loving food, snuggles and cuddles, daily walks, and a fence in the yard. This girl is adventurous and loves outdoor adventures but is very happy relaxing with her human indoors. Wherever her human is, that's where she's pleased to be. If you have kids, she's the perfect girl for you. Busy life with an endless revolving door with friends and family members. Yup, she loves this too. She is a people dog. A social, outgoing, happy-go-lucky everyone-loving dog.

Peaches is house and crate-trained. She walks well on a leash. Including complete transparency, principles, and honesty to best offer both you and our adoptable animals a chance of a successful adoption. We share all known detailed information about every pet in our care. This helps adopters (you) make an educated, informed decision when it comes to adopting one of ours. We make sure all potential adopters are informed and aware of our adoption policy and each dog/cat/rabbit's personality, daily needs, health and behavior history, any probable long-term concerns, and all known behaviors. We share it all! We hope you will give us the same courtesy, as it is crucial to match our pets with the right Forever Family. What to expect when adopting from AHRS? Besides all of the above, a supportive rescue family. Our adopters become family too. They will never just be a number. We strive and hope we stay involved/in touch, and that you can find in us a friend. We offer lifetime support to all our AHRS animals and adopters. We are always available to answer any questions concerns doubts or a listening ear. We want to get to know all potential adopters as much as they want to get to know the pet they are interested in adopting. So be prepared to complete an adoption application that asks for detailed specific information about you, your family, your home/environment, and day-to-day life. But more importantly, do include detailed information questions about specific needs wanted desires requests do's, and don't when wanting to adopt. This helps us offer other available adoptables you may not be aware of. Basic but crucial information to help best place our adoptable pets and please you. Please ask as many questions as you need to. Be as picky and specific as you need to be. This is what makes our adoptions successful and forever. You should expect a very thorough but simple basic screening. The process takes time being an all-volunteer base program. Vet reference check, meet and greets, answering all questions asked by potential adopters and vice versa. Making the process slow but steady. But more importantly successful. Adoption should never be an impulsive decision. But yes passionate informative and confident. We also offer a trial period, pup dates, and as many meet and greets as needed within reason until we are all on the same page. adoptahrescue.org Animalhrs@gmail.com @AH Rescue &_Sanctuary FB /Instagram
