Meet Peaches
Peaches is adoptable!
Hi there! It’s me, Peaches, and I’m excited to share that I am ready to find my FUR-ever home!
I'm a sweet 2-year-old female, weighing in at a petite 16 pounds. I currently reside in Long Beach, CA, after being pulled from a shelter where I was found as a severely emancipated stray. I’ve have since been enjoying life with my foster family, who have taken GREAT care of me. My days have been filled with lots of lounging around, following my foster mom, enjoying meals, and napping in the sun.
Cuddling is my favorite thing in the world, and I love showing off my puppy eyes. One of the most adorable things I do is hop up on the couch to sit next to my human foster brothers, giving them my best puppy eyes and licks. I'm not a fan of the water hose or loud noises.
My personality is very sweet and gentle, and I'm extremely affectionate—I'd say a solid 10 out of 10! I'm not very energetic, though, more like a 2 on that scale. I’ve never shown any aggression, but when left alone, I might get a bit destructive and look for things to get into. I get stressed out when my people are gone, which can sometimes cause diarrhea, so I usually wear a diaper when crated.
Health-wise, I'm still quite skinny, and any food other than my prescription diet gives me diarrhea. I eat Hills prescription A/D urgent care canned food twice a day, which helps with my delicate tummy. The doctor says I’m naturally just very thin, but keeping up with my strict diet will help me stay healthy. During my time in foster care, I've been spayed and vaccinated.
I absolutely adore small children and other dogs, though I haven't been around cats, so that's still a mystery. I’m crate-trained and have no problem going potty outside.
A loving home with plenty of petting and a comfy spot to sunbathe would be perfect for me. Ready to apply to adopt me?
