Meet Peaches

I want to be my family's everything. I consider myself to be a princess and want all the lovings. I may be 110lbs but I will happily spend the day sprawled across your lap snoozing and cuddling. You see my original family didn't get me to cuddle with them and lie around the house all day. They got me to watch over the chickens but that job was a no no for me. I got bored and started trying to play with the chickens...and lets just say I played a little too rough and the chicken didn't make it :( I ended up being surrendered to this rescue along with my mom Georgia. She was surrendered under the reason of them having too many animals. Anywho, that was a long time ago. I was only about 4 months ago and I was still in my awkward puppy stage. When I look at photos from back then...sheesh. My hairdo was a bit wonky, that stage between my puppy coat and adult coat coming in was not a good look for me! I ended up getting adopted and I was spoiled..as every princess should be! Anything I wanted I got, and I wasn't really used to having to share my attention with others. It was a wonderful life and my family loved me like crazy. However, my owner needed to chase his dreams and unfortunately, those dreams took him to another state. He would be moving to an apartment that had restrictions and he didn't believe that I would be happy going from a yard to a smaller space and made the decision to surrender me back to rescue. The goodbye was very hard for both of us, it really sucks when someone's dreams lead them away from you, but hey I am a princess. I have dreams of my own and it is time to chase them! I am on the search for a new kingdom to rule and I am hoping that it might be with you!

I have absolutely wonderful bloodlines, and am a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix. At least, that is what I believe my lineage to be. I am about 3.5 years old now so am currently in my prime! If you are to welcome me to your kingdom, there are some things you simply must know about. First is, that I want to be loved on every day. I am very much a girl who needs to be doted over. If I feel like you are not giving me enough attention I will paw you and pull your arm towards me. I am not afraid to let you know what I want! The next thing that you need to know is that I love to eat. Breakfast and dinner are some of my favorite times, and I am requesting that I get yummy treats in between meals. I should also warn you that I am not beneath begging, and will give you my best puppy dog eyes when you are eating something. The next thing is walks. I very much love them and it is important to me that I explore my kingdom. Not just stay in my castle all day long. So, my new family needs to enjoy going on strolls through the village. I also take protection duty seriously so would like to go on walks through the woods and on other walking trails to ensure that everything is up to par!

As of right now, I am a little to regal to play with toys. I tend to walk right past them and pay them no mind. However, there was recently a moment where I lapsed back to being a carefree puppy and stole a toy bone to munch on. I have not had the oppurtunity to go swimming but given my personality I feel that I would turn my nose up at it. The thought of getting all wet and muddy...ugh! I will pass on that. Can you imagine my beautiful golden and white coat all dirty? I would never! As far as fetching goes...let us just say that I expect you to fetch things for me...not the other way around.

I am a princess and I am used to getting all the attention. That is how I grew up, so while I am okay with other dogs I am also grumbly with them. I prefer to be the only one getting attention. I am not used to having to share everything with all the other dogs in my foster home and will let them know with growls. However, the minute one of them dares to get upset with me I will flop onto my back! I expect them to listen to me as that is how it has been for as long as I can remember...but when they don't I am the first one to back down. I am way to pretty to risk getting a broken nail or my coat messed up. I have to say that I have come a long way and am way more willing to share than I was when I first came to my foster home...I am quite proud of myself. However, I would be happiest in a home where I am the only dog or one with one or two calmer dogs. I will occasionally engage in play with the other dogs to ensure that I stay in shape, but I don't want to play all the time. I like things to be on my terms. I am just fine having cats in my kindom, I really don't mind them. However, I may get a little upset with them if they try and interrupt my cuddle session with my people on the couch...so my new family needs to be okay with working with me some more on sharing them. I am not being fostered around kids, but I absolutely adore people. It is important that people everywhere love me, so I think that I would get along with children very well. When I meet people outside of my castle, I walk right up to them and say hi. It is important to me that as a ruler I be familiar with all the people around me! I am a gracious host and will also happily welcome people over to my home, and I have been trained on the skill of meeting people and will not jump on them.

I like to keep a tidy house so you don't have to worry about me chewing up anything that I shouldn't. I couldn't imagine going to the bathroom inside my own home, so am quite accustomed to going potty only outdoors. I prefer to live in a big space so kennels are out for me. I prefer to roam freely in the house and am given that right in my foster home, even if my foster family is away. I really like the ability to explore the inside and outside at my leisure so I do not feel that I would be satisfied living in an apartment setting. I am a quieter girl and am not someone that will talk your ear off. Now, I will bark if there is reason to or if I hear the other dogs doing it. I can't very well be left out of the action! However, for the most part, I am pretty chill and quiet.

Now, like every princess there is paperwork to be filled out if you feel like I should come to your kingdom. The first step is for you to fill out an adoption app for me at
https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once you have submitted your application, it will be sent on to my servants...err foster family...for consideration to ensure that we are truly a match. I was already let down a couple times in my life and this princess is done being passed around! I can promise you that my next home is going to be my forever! ♥

I am being fostered in Kiowa, OK.
While we do adopt out of state, you would be responsible for picking your new dog up. We do not send our dogs on transport. This way you and your new fur baby can already begin the bonding process on the way back home, and it limits the stress on the dog.

My adoption fee is $250.00.

That will include my DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention
