You see, I am a 17 pound, 1 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix gal that came to Rescue One in March with a seizure disorder. The awesome Rescue One folks have been working with our own veterinarian as well as a veterinarian in the Kansas City area to help me be the best Peach I can be.
Currently, my seizures are very well managed and are limited to focal seizures. That doesn’t mean that I won’t still have a full-blown seizure at some point or periodically throughout my life though.
I can’t tell you what my life looked like before I came to R1, but I really don’t like to be picked up, I take time to trust before I will eventually snuggle with you, and I am not yet house trained but will use potty pads (handy with this freezing weather). I am good in a crate and I am also great with other dogs and cats.
I am very playful. I am not recommended for someone not sturdy on their feet because I can get underfoot.
I currently take medication morning, afternoon and evenings. Medications for this special adoption will be available for purchase through Rescue One.
Other facts about me:
? My DNA test says I am Chihuahua/Yorkie
? I love my rope toy and to play tug with you!
? A fenced yard is required for me. No exceptions.
? I love to sunbathe and hang out in the yard.
? I’m cute and little.
My adoption fee is sponsored (that means making me a part of your family is FREE!) and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! *Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
