Peach is a smart, sassy, and resilient young lady with a lot of love to give!

When Peach came under the care of New Hope Dog Rescue, she was very skinny, naked from mange, and feeding a litter of puppies out in the harsh Saskatchewan winter. Sometime over the winter she also suffered an injury to her right eye, and it had to be removed in January. Today, Peach is feeling great and has blossomed into a perfectly sweet and gentle girl.

Peach is about 2 years old and past her silly puppy stage. She is very food motivated and eager to learn which makes her fun and easy to train. She knows basic commands, is comfortable in her crate at night and during the workday and is an excellent houseguest. Peach is low to medium energy, she enjoys walks around the neighbourhood, car rides, belly rubs, and playtime with her stuffies. She walks nicely on a leash and when she is happy, Peach does the cutest little skips and hops down the sidewalk.

Peach is a very good girl but has an insatiable appetite and is nervous around other dogs. Her ideal forever family would be diligent about keeping the counters clear of temptation and allow her to be the only dog in the home. Peach is happiest when she is not forced to interact with other dogs, she prefers to give all her attention to people. She currently lives with a cat and is completely uninterested in her.

Peach is medium sized and has a bit of a short and stocky frame (about 28 kg and 24 inches at the shoulder) with soft fur, big, adorable ears, and fluffy caterpillar eyebrows – a perfect Northern Saskatchewan girl!


Adoption fee is $295. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
