Meet Paul Revere
Paul's got the spirit of a revolutionary, but his rebellion is mostly limited to chasing squeaky toys and rolling joyfully in the grass. He's playful, easygoing, and semi-independent, happy to explore a sniff spot at his own pace before taking a breather in the shade. He's toy-motivated, always ready to chase down his favorite and occasionally bring it back, with bonus snorts included for your entertainment.
When it comes to walks, he may start off with a bit of pulling, but he quickly settles into a more relaxed rhythm. He's curious but polite-non-reactive to wildlife and calm around other dogs, even wagging his tail when he sees potential new friends from a distance.
With people, Paul takes a slow-and-steady approach. He doesn't rush toward strangers, but give him some time and he becomes sweetly affectionate, soaking up your attention and tossing in a few tricks if you've got treats. (Yes, he knows "sit," "down," "shake," and can catch any snack you throw his way-revolutionary, indeed.)
Paul is also a great passenger, riding calmly in the car with only the occasional front-seat check-in. He tolerated his bath like a true patriot, even if he needed a little help getting in. Around the house, he's a respectful guest-lounging with a toy, peeking out windows, and using the bathroom promptly when taken outside. He's even explored an open crate on his own, proving he's brave, curious, and just the right amount of nosy.
If you're ready to welcome a loyal companion with brains, charm, and some serious toy-catching skills, Paul Revere is ready to ride into your heart-and stay there. Let freedom (and the squeaky ball) ring!
As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
