Meet Patch
Patch has the temperament of an ideal puppy - playful, affectionate, and silly. Patch follows his curiosity when it comes to making friends, initiating play, and discovering new toys to play with. He’s gentle and takes redirection very well from both human and canine friends. You will absolutely fall in love with his relaxed personality and cheerful demeanor.
Patch, and his sister Pumpkin, came to NALA Rescue covered in fleas, filled with worms, and very new to the lifestyle of an indoor pet. These babies and the rest of their litter are the predictable result of an Oklahoma household with multiple unfixed adult dogs and limited veterinary access. Mama is a boxer pitty mix and dad is a Pyrenees mix. We have a hunch that to arriving to NALA Rescue, Patch had never seen a dog toy. He is absolutely infatuated by plushes, squeaker toys, and chews, and he will graciously play with them for quite a while.
Patch learns quickly - he already knows how to sit on command, and he’s working hard on potty training. (When he’s not pottying outside, he gets the potty pad ~most~ of the time). Patch sleeps through the night, and after a long day of play, he even lets you sleep in the next morning. He’s pretty mellow and quiet now, but he’s learning to find his voice. The right home for Patch will have patience and consistency as he continues to master his manners.
Patch was born in late June, and is about 10-15lbs with plenty of potential to grow much bigger. He has been an absolute doll to other dogs, cats, and children in his foster homes.
Your adoption includes veterinary care with fecal testing, blood testing, vaccinations, treatment for parasites, spay/neuter, examination, and more.
