PATCH came to us after being left behind by his family to fend for himself in a trailer park for two years!! A Good Samaritan has been feeding him, but he was too shy/scared to let anyone get too close. Upon being notified of him (and his buddies ) we were able to rescue Patch and his friend (who was just adopted!!)
PATCH is a VERY cute little boy! We believe him to be a long-haired Chihuahua mix with possibly some sort of terrier as he has a rough curly coat on his hind end. PATCH weighs approximately 9 lbs and Is about 2 yrs of age. He is very timid of new people so it takes him some time to warm up and trust a person. He loves treats/bones which tends to be the way to his heart!
PATCH is more comfortable around other dogs more so than people so it it very important that he is in a home with other dogs. It will help with his transition as well as his confidence in interacting with his new family.
Because of his timidness, PATCH needs a quiet home with no children. He will do best with a retired person(s) and is much more at ease with women than men.
PATCH is crate trained, but not fully housetrained. He needs to be let out very regularly to avoid pee accidents in the house (he does not poop in the house) so he should not be alone for long periods of time.
A home with a secured backyard is needed as he will run away if frightened or scared.
PATCH’S adoption fee is $300 which includes Health examination, current vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and dole-worming treatment, along with any other medical or dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.
