Parker was found as a stray. At first, our staff thought he had an injury that needed attention so we rushed him to the vet but upon further investigation, the vet determined that it was actually an old injury that wasn't treated. Parker was likely hit by a car. One of his hip joints was severely damaged and he has limited use of his leg on that side. The other hip was pushed out of place and never repaired so it is now non repairable. Parker gets around fine and is a very happy boy, he just needs a home with someone that doesn't mind his funny gait and is willing to give him good quality food and joint supplements to help as he gets older. Parker does best on a grain free diet- we have noticed he gets itchy when given regular dog food. Parker has the sweetest personality, he is good with other animals and loves everyone. He is happy with his bed and being lazy most days too. Parker will be a great boy for the home that is perfect for him.
