Meet Panda Floof
I’m the type of dog who loves a quiet, peaceful life. Inside the house, I’m content just lying quietly by my foster mom’s side, soaking up the calm vibes. I’m very protective, especially when it comes to my family. If I see someone walking down the street, I’ll make sure to alert everyone with a good bark! But when I’m with my foster mom, I’m always by her side, following her around like a shadow. I really love being close to her.
I’m a big fan of food! I enjoy my meals and treats—dog biscuits are my favorite. I’m not a picky eater, and I happily chow down on whatever is offered. When I need to go outside for a potty break, I know exactly how to communicate it. I just stand by the back door, and my foster mom lets me out like clockwork.
Though I can be a bit shy at first with new people, I’m a quick learner. I didn't know many commands when I first arrived, but with just a little patience and care from my foster mom, I quickly learned to sit and lie down. I may have had a few moments of nervousness, especially when I thought hands were being raised to hurt me, but I’m learning to trust more every day. I’m even working on learning “come!” My foster mom says I’m very smart—though I’m still a little cautious about sudden movements and loud noises. Sometimes I bark when new people visit, but once I feel safe, I calm down.
I’m also doing well with house rules. I don’t chew on anything I shouldn’t, and I don’t jump on the furniture (though I do love lying on the floor next to my foster mom’s bed). I’m a great companion when it comes to keeping things calm and orderly. When I’m left alone for a while, I’m well-behaved and don’t make a mess. I also don’t drool—though I do get a bit excited when it's time to ride in the car. I can’t jump in on my own yet, but I’m happy to get some help from my foster mom.
My foster mom is helping me work through my fears, and I know deep down I have a lot of love to give. I want to trust people, and I’m willing to learn to overcome my fears. In my own time, I hope to be more confident, and I’d love a family who understands and can help me grow in that way.
I’ve already made such great progress. I love the yard, and nothing makes me happier than running around, kicking up my legs as I play! My foster mom says I’m a true Pyr in that way, and she loves having me around to guard her garden. At the end of the day, there’s nothing more comforting than curling up on the floor next to her as we both settle in for the night. She says my gentle snores & snoots comfort her.
Thank you for letting me share my story. I hope one day I’ll find my forever family who understands me, just as my foster mom does. ??
