Panda Cattle Dog Mix Manhattan, KS

Panda is a 4 year old, neutered male blue heeler/lab mix. Panda is a loving soul and enjoys being part of a family. He gets along well with my 17 year old sheltie and also with my cat. He is best buds with my 6 year old son, but in true heeler fashion can be nippy. He tries hard to please, but needs worked with on manners. Panda loves to play with other dogs at the dog park. However, Panda does not appreciate seeing other dogs on a leash. For this reason, Panda would do best with a fenced in yard to get out all of his energy without stressing out seeing other dogs. Panda cannot travel in a car. His anxiety is too severe. He also cannot be kenneled/boarded due to his anxiety. He would need a home where his owners did not travel, or had someone able to come care for him at home while they did. I really believe Panda would thrive in a home that was able to devote time to training him. He is warming up to horses, but would probably not do well with small livestock such as chickens. He does not seem interested in working at all, but maybe with the right motivation/training. He loves to sleep at your feet and really just hopes of one day catching a squirrel.
