Meet Paislee

Get ready to fall in love! Meet Paislee! ♥

Paislee is one of those dogs that you just have to wonder why someone gave her up. She is just so sweet and loving. You can also tell that someone had worked with her before. Yet, this awesome girl ends up in the shelter on the urgent list. I really just don't get it. But, I guess that is not for me to "get". Our job is to make sure she is loved beyond measure in her new home and that is what we intend to find for her! ♥

Paislee is a 9-month-old female Great Pyrenees mix. She currently weighs about 62lbs. We expect her to top out somewhere in the 70lb range.

Are you already thinking that Paislee is the girl for you? If so, you can apply to adopt her at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
-However, we strongly urge you to read her FULL bio which includes her adoption fee, more about her personality, and her location before applying.

?? From Paislee's foster mom ??

"Paislee has to be one of the sweetest girls ever. The first thing she did when we brought her home was pick up a bone and start chewing on it. She waltzed right into our house like she had been with us forever. She absolutely loves the other dogs and befriends everyone she meets. She loves being close to her people and loves being part of the action. She hasn't paid much attention to our cats and entertains herself by playing with the other dogs or toys. Paislee has super soft fur and loves attention. She is on the more petite side and isn't very tall. She hasn't barked at all with us yet and doesn't chew anymore than any young dog her age would. She mainly sticks to her toys, but if there is a shoe or magazine lying around she probably would grab it. We believe that Paislee would fit into really any family that is looking for a sweet and playful dog to join the family. "

??To Paislee's Future Family ??
-----------------------------------------

? Paislee has not been to any public outings other than the vet. She was friendly there, but a little nervous. We are unsure if she would enjoy going to lots of places or would prefer to be more of a homebody.

?Paislee walks okay on the leash but could use some more working with. We feel she would love going on walks, or possibly even for a couple hikes once she feels comfortable with her new family. She does ride well in the car.

?Paislee may sometimes give hugs if she is really excited. For the most part, though, she is happy to just calmy receive attention. And sneak in a few kisses if she can! She is friendly when meeting new people, but also a little nervous initially.

?Paislee LOVES toys. Bones, squeaky toys, rope toys, and anything in-between! We are unsure if she enjoys playing fetch or would be a water dog.

? Paislee has not shown to have any issues with food aggression or resource guarding in her foster home. With that said, we urge her new family to be cautious at feeding time until you know how she is with your dogs.

?Paislee LOVES other dogs. She has a blast playing with them and really enjoys their companionship.

?Paislee is being fostered around cats and does well with them.

?Paislee has not been around any kids so we are unsure how she would do with them. She does have a very loving personality, so she would probably do fine as long as they are respectful of her space.

?Paislee is potty trained. Her foster doesn't kennel so she has no experience being in one. She is given free-roam of the house when her fosters are away and at night. She does great with free-roam but she does have other dogs to keep her company.

?Paislee would be a candidate for apartment living. Her new family would need a good exercise plan in place, and preferably be on the more active side. Since she is still young, she would definitely need another dog or lots of stimulation to help get her energy out.

?Paislee has not shown to be a big barker or chewer in her foster home. With that said, her fosters house is already puppy-proofed due to always getting new dogs in. Along with that, she is never left outside for more than 20 minutes at a time. If she was outside longer, she may bark more.

?? Am I the family for Paislee? ??

Paislee is an amazing girl and below is what she would LOVE to have in her new home.

-Paislee's new family should have at least one other playful dog. She really enjoys playing and would make an amazing playmate for your current dog.

-We would go case by case if Paislee's new family wanted her as an only dog. It would depend on their energy level, how long they are away from home, and the compatibility between them and Paislee.

-Paislee is still young so her new family should be ready for puppy antics. She is pretty well behaved, but she definitely has her mischievous moments as well ;)

-Her new family needs to be able to pick her up(even if they are out of state). No commercial transports and no shipping. Just a fun road trip with her and her new family! ?
*Paislee is being fostered in Kiowa, OK*

-Her adoption fee is $225. That includes DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. She will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
