Paco Chihuahua Rochester, MN

Paco is a 9 year old, 12 lb Chihuahua (little brown one). His favorite thing is to curl up with you in bed at night. He can be a little pushy/excited at times – likely, just getting used to our routine. He eats when he wants to, and wasn't thrilled with the bath, but just left it at a little whining til he got out. Usually he is happy to gnaw on a toy or bone while lying on the couch by you. He loves to quietly watch what is going on outside.

Paco and Runt are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They both ride in the car beautifully! They do not do well in crates. Runt will scratch and smash her face on the grates, so we left them out in our bedroom the first few days we were at work. They now have the run of the house--no problems! They have had no accidents in the house, and they have fully raided our pet toy box.

They didn't bark or care about about our dogs or cats , but will bark at other dogs when out for a walk. The original owner says they will go to the door and bark to let you know they need to go out. We haven't been able to confirm as we have two seniors we let out a lot in the evenings. There is no guarding or aggression at all when it comes to food or toys. They both sleep through the night.

Their adoption fee is $500.

- Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, it must be charged.
