Pacho's Story

Apply to Adopt Me!
Pacho is an adorable approx. 10yo, 7-lb. male chihuahua with the sweetest, most loving personality you'll ever find in a little dog. He came to us as a stray and stole our hearts immediately, and now he's ready to steal yours.

As soon as he came into his foster home, he made himself right at home - no adjustment period, no anxiety. He simply walked in and belonged. Unfortunately, Pacho came to us with severe dental disease that required extracting all but one of his teeth. He recovered like a champ and eats just fine either soft food or soaked kibble.

He doesn't respond to his new given name, but a little patience and treat training and he'll learn whatever name his forever family gives him.

Pacho is the definition of a lap dog. He loves every single person he meets. No warming-up period needed, no stranger danger, just instant affection for everyone who walks through the door. His favorite activity is being close to his person, whether that's curling up in your lap, snuggling beside you on the couch, or keeping you company during late-night TV. He will do little cries for your attention, but he settles quickly. He just wants to know you're there.
Pacho does well with other dogs as long as introductions are calm and relaxed. If a dog tries to get in his face right away, he can get nervous, but push through that first sniff and he warms up easily. If the other dog simply ignores him, he's completely unbothered and chill. He is not cat-friendly; he will chase a cat, though he never actually closes the gap. He enjoys playing with toys as you can see in his video.

Pacho is house trained as long as he's walked on a schedule. Two to three walks a day and there will be zero indoor accidents. He doesn't signal when he needs to go out, so it's up to you to keep the routine. He will sleep comfortably in a cozy, enclosed space overnight. On walks, Pacho likes to set his own pace. If you pull the leash, he'll simply freeze on the spot. Let him lead and he's a happy walker.

Whoever adopts Pacho is getting the ultimate companion dog. He doesn't need a big yard, but he does love the outdoors and soaks up every bit of outside time he gets. He needs your love and attention, and he will give every bit of it right back. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect forever home for this sweet little guy, complete an app and tell us more about you.
