Pablo Blue Picasso's Story

Pablo Blue Picasso is a blue and tan standard dachshund. He is 11 months old has the energy of a puppy, as you would expect. He will need a home with an energetic companion dog that likes to play. This boy is 16-17 pounds and will be closer to 20 as he fills out.

His lab work looks good, so we hope to neuter him in late November. He is a stunning Isabella dachshund, which means he is dilute. This means he is prone to hair loss and thinning, but it is cosmetic only.

PBP does not like cats or kids, and will need a home that is safe for him and includes neither of them.

PBP's Forever Home:

Securely fenced yard
Young/playful companion dog
No cats or kids, teens 15+ ok
A home not gone long hours or a staggered schedule

To be considered for Pablo Blue Picasso, please apply on our website:

portlanddachshundrescue.org/adoptionform

Portland Dachshund Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
OUR CRITERIA There's nothing better than a successful match. We like to explain the process of finding the right rescue dog as being similar to online dating: You will want to check our site often to see who is new, read each bio and reach out if you think they might have found someone special. Our adoption team is highly skilled at helping you find a dog with the right personality that will fit your family and lifestyle. Occasionally, we receive multiple promising applications for a dog and ultimately match the dog with the home where we think they will do best. We are committed to helping you find a dog even if you don't "match" on your first attempt. We would love nothing more than to help you find the forever dog of your dreams. Although we like to tailor each match, we do have some basic criteria we look with respect to adoptive homes: *Homes should be non-smoking *Have a securely fenced yard *Ability to commit to yearly dentals and shots for the pet *Willingness to purchase ramps and pet stairs to safeguard the dog's back
