Foster to Adopt Home Needed!

Everyone meet Ozzy! This sweet boy came from an overcrowded shelter in KY this past weekend. He is a super sweet, very playful, terrier mix boy ~15# and 2-3 years old. He likes toys, doing the zoomies, exploring the yard and eliciting attention from anyone who will give it to him. This happy little guy acts like a true terrier moreso then a calm lapdog and would thrive in an active home. He came to us with a bit of hairloss near his hind end but that will likely resolve now that he's had a flea treatment, is on a good diet and will be taken proper care of now.

Ozzy will need work on housebreaking and leash training and needs reminded not to jump up on people as well. He is looking for a foster to adopt home to work with him on his training and help him burn some terrier energy.

Once ready, an adoption donation of $450 is being asked to cover a portion of his veterinary and care fees, but fostering is free. He has been examined, vaccinated, treated for intestinal and external parasites, had full bloodwork done and been neutered.

Due to his size, current condition and temperament, foster to adopt requirements are:
-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY to continue his vetting as needed in the upcoming weeks.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-He should do fine with likesized dogs and cats in the home due to his gentle demeanor
-He will need a patient home willing to work on training and hlep him burn some energy
-Homes with children over 12 years old should be ok as he would prefer a quiet place to settle in
-Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure they are an acceptable match.
-Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet.
