A Little Bit About Me

Our boy Ozzy has been with us since September and before that he was in another shelter since July. That's a lot of time growing up in a shelter for a large dog. The result is that Ozzy has some baggage - the silver lining is that several of our most experienced volunteers have a big soft spot for this big boy. Ozzy gets to enjoy off campus hikes and even gets to hang out at home with one of our volunteers. This means Ozzy is learning how to live in a home - most of his life has been spent in a shelter - so he has a lot to learn. Ozzy is really smart and treat motivated. He loves to learn and is attentive and curious. Ozzy gets twice daily training lessons and he has come a LONG way! We know Ozzy has the potential to be an 'obedience star' under the guidance of an experienced handler. With structure, consistency and a calm home environment, Ozzy will truly shine. He is friendly with people and great with dogs - and enjoys car rides! He is learning good recall and to heel when walking. He will sit and stay before doors open. Ozzy prefers learning/training to most other activities. He is an awesome dog that is destined to become a lucky person's best friend for life!
