Ozzie Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix North Fort Myers, FL

This big playful boy came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services, as they were running out of space. We often pull dogs from other shelters that don’t have the luxury of time that we do at ARC.

Ozzie is affectionate, playful and very energetic. It would be best if he went to a home that had adequate time to train him and had experience in handling large breed dogs. Our staff has slowly been socializing him with other dogs, but it’s still a work in progress. At this point, we are recommending that he does not go to a home with small children. Ozzie would also not do well in a home with cats. But… if you’re an active and energetic home with older children and the time to provide Ozzie the play and exercise he needs, you might just be a great home for him!
