Meet Oz

Behold, the big man behind the curtains, the wonderful creator of many things and the biggest headliner at the show, Oz! And my oh my does he bring a bundle of wonderful things in this large package that will make you want to click your heels in happiness while walking down whatever brick road you find along the way. Oz is what appears to be a wheaten terrier mix who is a big boy at about 55 lbs but appears much larger because of his striking wiry locks that, with some hairdressing and the right products, would make Paul Mitchell jealous! Oz is about 2 years old and full grown though has been working on putting on some weight since his arrival at the farm. He is an ideal choice for folks looking for a low shed family member as he does not require an industrial sized vacuum to keep things tidy behind him. Oz would love a family with older children as he can be a hugger, which given his size is something better enjoyed by larger two legged people. Oz has lots of energy and a desire to be with people so would prefer an active home and would LOVE peeps who would take him to training classes to help him to learn his southern gentleman ways while also engaging his mind and giving him work and a sense of purpose. Oz would be absolutely fine as a solo dog, no confidence issues or need for guidance in this handsome package. In the event that there are other dogs in the home, he has a preference for females and definitely likes to be the big man amongst his canine friends and would therefore pair better with a submissive 4 legged friend. Cats would not be comfortable housemates for Oz. He is the ruler of Oz now so we surely would not expect a small spirit to match that name. Come out ASAP for some hugs and feel free to bring your ruby slippers if you have a spare pair at home. It will lead you to the magic at the farm.

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

Our Adoption Form can be completed online https://savinggracenc.org/how-to-adopt/. Please visit our new website at https://savinggracenc.org

An Adoption Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home.

Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes.

If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit https://savinggracenc.org/giving/

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
