Meet Owen-Paws in Prison Participant
Owen. male Anatolian Shepherd mix, 101 pounds, 1 year, $250 adoption fee
Remember the old musical "South Pacific"? The song "Honeybun" describes Owen-101, pounds of fun, that's my little Honeybun, get a load of Honeybun to-night!" Except Owen is a boy, but he would be fine if you called him Honeybun or whatever on occasion, just as long as you call him. He can't help being big, but he is okay with it, and would love to meet you. He is fine with most dogs, but won't let them near his food. He is a good leash walker. And, as the song goes, "take a chance on Honeybun to-nigh-it"(Google it!)

Current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative on monthly preventative, microchipped
Owen is in the Paws in Prison program where dogs receive obedience training. This dog is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 8/14. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive their training journal. This journal documents everything from entering the facility, daily training progress, and interactions with trainers.
