Otto is a sweet, affectionate, and well-trained dog who thrives in a calm, quiet environment. Coming from a much-loved home, he’s a true companion who enjoys being with his humans and will happily stick by your side! He’s playful, fun, and a joy to be around—but he also values peace and quiet.

Otto is naturally protective of his space and people and will alert you to the presence of strangers. He’s not a fan of sudden visitors and will let you know when someone’s at the door. However, he warms up quickly once he knows someone is safe, especially when given a little time and reassurance.

This sweet boy would do best in a home without young children or other dogs, where he can have the undivided attention he craves. He’s well-mannered and knows his commands but does require consistent work on leash manners and recall and respected body boundaries. With continued practice, he’ll thrive and continue to improve in these areas.

Crating is essential for his safety when you’re away. His crate is his secure, peaceful den where he feels safe and out of trouble. Crating ensures he stays calm and prevents any potential mischief.

Otto thrives in a home that offers a balanced mix of activity, enrichment, and relaxation. He loves enrichment activities like puzzle toys, training sessions, and interactive games that challenge his clever mind. He enjoys his playtime but is just as content curling up at your feet in his cozy bed after a day of fun.

Additionally, Otto requires bi-annual grooming to keep his coat in top shape and looking its best. Regular grooming sessions are part of his routine to maintain his health and comfort.
