Meet OTIS and / or MILO

Come meet Otis and Milo. These two adorable chihuahua mixes are ready for a better and happier chapter. From a hoarding situation, these guys have had a good couple of months to decompress/heal, begin to trust, and enjoy being a pampered pet with regular meals and outside time.

Milo is a 3-4 year old, 15lb neutered bundle of low energy. He enjoys lap time and has been known to want to sleep all night next to his foster mom. His ears indicate his mood. Upright--ready for action, down means he's a bit scared and uncertain. He likes his chew toys, his foster brother Otis, his foster family's cats, and being outside when conditions are right--no loud noises and no barking dogs. He is 90% potty trained and accidents occur on pee pads. He's becoming more confident and has finally managed to venture from the basement to the main floor all by himself! Now he's an expert at running up and down the steps!

Otis is an old soul. He is a delicate featured 5yr old, neutered chihuahua mix weighing in at 12lbs. His greatest joy is consistent and abundant meals. He is cat and dog tolerant, sharing his foster home with 6 cats that easily outweigh him and two other dogs. He likes to find the most uncomfortable places to rest/sleep. That basket of shoes in the corner, yup, you'll find Otis nestled right on top of them. He gets along with his foster brother Milo. He is 85% potty trained.

You might ask if these two are a bonded pair. Well, coming from a hoarding situation of 150 dogs, who can say? They do like to play and be together though they eat separately just to respect their space.

Main takeaways:
Milo is a cuddly softie who needs some time to adjust to new experiences. And Otis' greatest fear is to gain too much weight...have you seen the size of foster Mom's cats?!?

If you would like to meet Milo, please go to our website at www.rescueahart.org and fill out an online adoption application.

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.
