Is this a Panda Bear or a dog?! Osita is an 8 year old, 80 pound, female, Malamute Mix. You don’t see a rescue breed like Osita every day! We are so thrilled to welcome this beautiful senior girl to NYC so she can finally find the forever home she deserves. Osita lived her whole life as a backyard dog on a chain, which is heartbreaking given her gentle demeanor. Osita is a gentle giant through and through! She is always calm cool and collected… she goes with the flow very well and has taken to her new life living in NYC flawlessly. She is a very big dog for apartment life so we would love to see Osita enjoy more space. She is a natural protector and loves to watch over her foster parents. Other dogs in the city can be scared of Osita’s big size, but she is very polite to the dogs she passes by. Most of all, Osita loves kids! She met some young children while out for a walk and showered them with face licks. We think Osita could make a great family dog for a calm household she can relax in or a perfect city bodyguard and best friend.
