Oreo Alaskan Malamute & Basenji Mix Bethel, CT

Meet Oreo, an adorable 9-month-old, 30 lb. husky/basenji mix pup with the cutest pink nose and softest coat. She came to Connecticut all the way from Texas after being found as a stray. Now, this lovable girl is in a wonderful foster home awaiting her happily furever after!

Oreo is as sweet as her name implies! She loves everyone she meets, including other dogs, cats, and children of all ages! She is a happy and social girl who is determined to be everyone’s BFF! Oreo is a complete lap dog with a really nice low to medium energy. She enjoys a game of tug and fetch with both her foster fur sister and humans. Being a puppy, she's easily excitable but is a very good girl!

She is nearly housetrained and does fine in her crate. Her foster parents are teaching her some basic commands and she quickly adjusted to their routine. Oreo has exhibited a little bit of resource guarding with food around other dogs (likely learned from her time living on the streets) so we are working on that. She must go to a home with a fenced yard and will make a great addition to any family!
