The only information we were given by the rural county shelter from which we transferred Orana and her 7 siblings was that they were a mix of Jack Russell and who knows what else. The pups were in pretty bad condition when they arrived at ACS on 7/10/18. After a few weeks of TLC, Orana is now ready to move on to the next exciting stage of her life - being a furry family member! This little gal is beyond cute with her short stubby legs and long body! She doesn't let her shorter stature stop her from giving as good as she gets either when she's playing with her leggier siblings. No doubt, she'd be just as playful with children. However, because she's still a baby herself, she might be a little too rambunctious for really young children or children who haven't been around puppies before. Orana also loves to give kisses and is just a real sweetheart. While she is doing great on paper-training, her adopter must still be prepared to deal with finishing the job of house-training. Her adopter will also need to teach her all the other important things a puppy needs to know as she grows. Her siblings are teaching her how to interact properly with other dogs and she's young enough to learn how to behave respectfully around cats. Like any puppy, Orana is silly, energetic, full of mischief and is sure to try your patience but we bet she'll also give you a lot of reasons to laugh and smile, too! Raising a young puppy does present some challenges but, as long as you know what you're getting into and know what you're doing, you'll be rewarded with a friend that will never judge you but will always, instead, accept and love you just the way you are despite any faults you might have. Orana deserves the same in return from her adopter. If you have a lot of time, patience, prior experience with raising a puppy, and a strong commitment to love and care for Orana through the good times and the bad times for the rest of her natural life, just stop by the shelter and ask to meet her. /// ORANA IS SPONSORED THRU DECEMBER 2018 BY JANE MEULER.
