Intake date 19 August 2023 . 2ish year old, smooth coated, tri colored spayed female, 28 lbs on intake. . Ophelia came in pretty rough -- underweight, dry skin, thin coat, generally unthrifty, and pretty shut down. She is currently in foster and is adjusting fairly well, and is ready to move into an appropriate forever home. Ophelia does have beautiful prick ears which she declined to share during her photo shoot ;-) . Ophelia has a sweet disposition, but can be anxious with loud noise, but enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She is well crate trained, situationally housebroken, and is ok on leash, though could definitely use a refresher. . Ophelia will do best in a quiet home with other calm canine companions. She would benefit from confidence building and partnership with her own person. . This dog was part of a hoarding case, and while all of the dogs involved have great temperaments and are adjusting well to living in a home, folks interested in adopting should understand that they will need support and encouragement on their road to learning to 'dog' normally.
