Opal - COME MEET! Retriever Mix Medfield, MA

Come meet Opal at our open house event on Monday, February 10th from 3-5 pm. The event will be held at our shelter - 106 Adams Street, Medfield, MA 02052. Walk-ins welcome but dog selection priority is given to pre-approved applicants with reserved visiting times. So please apply today at this link:

Once your application is approved, you won't even have to wait until the 10th! You will have the option of scheduling a private meeting with Opal's local foster family.


Opal is a beautiful retriever-mix who weighs about 45 pounds at an estimated 11 months of age. She is a really nice size and we do not expect her to get much bigger. This girl just loves to play! She runs around with the other dogs in her Tennessee-based foster home and happily chases leaves around the yard. After a fun-filled day, she likes to snuggle up on the couch with her humans.

Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area.

If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.

All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered.
Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee.
Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.
Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors.
Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.
