Hi, I'm Ollie! I am a shy pup that will be sure to steal your heart. I'm quite loving and playful when I open up to you: I'm a couch potato and love to cuddle with my humans and dog siblings. I love getting the zoomies, playing with other pups, and chewing on my Benebones.

I already sleep through the night in my crate, and will often hang out there throughout the day when I want some quiet time. My former foster family had two cats, and I didn't bark at or chase them. I currently live with two beagles, and I love romping in the backyard with them, sniffing and chasing. My foster mom says it's amazing that I don't bark, considering my beagle sibling influences!

I'm shy after spending so much of my young life in different shelters and foster homes before coming to Rural Dog Rescue, so I tend to stick to one place in the house (typically my crate or the couch) and I'm afraid of going on walks and sometimes outside noises scare me. This behavior will hopefully change once I've settled in some more, but I want my forever family to know that I won't be the most outgoing pup at first.

My foster parents are working with a professional dog trainer from Say It Once to help me build confidence, and my forever family will also get some free sessions so that I can keep up the good work. I'm a fast learner and very smart-I am learning "Place" and "Leave it," among many other commands.

I would do great in a quiet, suburban forever home where my family is patient and willing to give me structure, and where there's another older dog for me to play with and to give me some more confidence.

I would love a forever home that can help me gain confidence and let my personality shine. I can't wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give! Follow my adventures on Instagram: @samson_and_charlie!

A few things to consider before applying to adopt a puppy:

- Puppies require a lot of upfront work including both obedience and house training.

- Puppies cannot be left home alone for long periods while they are young.

- You might need to "puppy-proof" your home before bringing one home.

Adoption Application:

My adoption fee includes:

Spay/Neuter Surgery (unless I'm too to young!)

Overall wellness exam

Current on all core vaccines (including DHPP & rabies)

Current on flea & tick and heartworm preventatives
