Olive (Spring, TX) Schnauzer & Poodle Mix Spring, TX

I’m Olive, a female black and white Yorkie/Poodle mix who is about nine years old and weighs about fifteen pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My owners took me to a shelter and asked them to euthanize me. I was shocked all the way down to my tail. Luckily that didn’t happen and I’m now with a foster family getting the care I desperately needed. I saw the eye doctor and was diagnosed with a fancy term called keratoconjunctivitis sicca and severe keratitis in both eyes. Plus I had a prolapsed gland in my right eye. That all means I have dry eyes and a cherry eye in my right eye. Since my owners never had my eyes treated, I now have scarring on my cornea and pigmentation on my right eye. The good news is that I can see and I’m getting my eye drops daily and I had the cherry eye repaired. I love nothing more than hanging out with my humans. I’m a quiet girl who gets along with other dogs. I was groomed and got high marks for excellent behavior. I’m also house trained.
