Meet Odin
Sex: Male
Approximate Age: 6 months
Size: Large ( when fully grown )
Activity Level: Moderate-High
Breed: Lab mix
Odin came to Animal Services as a stray 5-month-old pup from a northern community. He has been with a foster family for the past four weeks where he is learning that it is ok to trust humans and that it is great fun to simply be a playful, happy pup.
Odin loves his foster canine sibling and we feel that he will do best in a home where there is another dog for him to play and interact with. Another dog really helps in building his confidence.
Odin will need a special home... a safe place where he will be allowed to set his own pace as far as human interaction goes. He will need a fenced and secure yard where he can play without the chance of escaping.
He is a gentle loving boy and is progressing very well with his foster family.
Odin is now available for adoption. If you would like to meet Odin and/or would like more information please call 311 or email Animal Services at animalservicesagency@winnipeg.ca

BACKGROUND
Almost all the dogs at Animal Services are picked up as strays running loose on the streets of Winnipeg and therefore they come to us with no known history. For this reason, we are not sure how they will interact with other dogs, cats or how they are with children. We would suggest that if you have younger children you bring them down with you to meet the dogs. We also have an outdoor play area where we can do introductions with any other dogs that live in the home.
All locally adopted dogs come with a 7 day home trial. If you return the dog within this time period, you will be refunded your adoption fee less the non-refundable deposit.
Please feel free to meet all the dogs and puppies outside of their kennels, just let the kennel attendants know that you would like a meet and greet with the dog outside of his pen. The dogs are much more relaxed when outside of their kennels. They would love to meet you!
