Oakley Sweet Gentle Boy in Fabulous Foster Home Uber Couch Potato!'s Story
Oakley is both laid-back and a loveable goofball. Thanks to his entropion and cataract removal surgeries, and the placement of an artificial lens in one eye, he can see much better now. He is very food motivated, and is sometimes a little mischievous in his attempts to find a tasty treat. However, he also likes to lounge around for hours and take at least three naps a day. He absolutely adores other dogs, and would probably be happiest in a home with another doggy friend. Overall, he is extremely laid-back, except when he gets excited over food, or the occasional zoomie after he comes inside. His depth perception is still off, and his vision is still a bit impaired, so he does run into things sometimes. He doesn't mind a bit. He is great with kids (he loves their snacks!), and has done very well in a foster home with a three year old. Just because of his less-than-perfect eyesight, a
home with children five and older may be better because they wouldn't startle him. He will need a little time adjusting to any new home, as his confidence increases as he learns his way around. He's mostly potty trained, and never has accidents in his kennel. He also loves spending time in his kennel, and easily sleeps 9 hrs overnight in his kennel. Oakley is easy, chill, and will fit into most homes with relative ease! I'd say his ideal house is laid-back, and has another dog to play with. He's fine with kids, but I'd maybe say 5 and up, just because sometimes my daughter scares him when she runs up on him really abruptly
This boy is not hiking material he's more couch material! If you are looking for a laid back couch potato he is your man!
