Oakley Hound Mix Minneapolis, MN

Oakley is a happy go lucky, playful, and sweet baby boy! He loves to play with his big foster sister who has been showing him the ropes as well as teaching him how to respect her boundaries when he’s warn her out. When his playmates need a break, he is happy to play on his own with whatever toys are around. When he’s tired, he loves to curl up next to a friend for cuddles, or make his own little blanket nest for napping.

He is mostly potty trained, but still needs a little more practice. He is still a baby, after all.

He is crate trained, and that is where he sleeps at night. However, being separated from his pack at bed time is still a little hard and he would prefer to be near his friends. As long as he gets to play hard and is sleepy, he will climb in and go right to puppy dream land.

He is proud to have recently conquered the stairs, learned to sit, and eats well around others without getting aggressive or territorial around his bowl. He loves his 8 year old human friend who lives next door and comes out for play dates.

He has very striking light grey/blue eyes, beautiful markings, and the cutest velvety, floppy, Dumbo ears! If you pet his belly in the right spot, he gets bicycle legs!

Oakley is estimated to be 3 months old and 17 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 100 mile radius of Minneapolis.
