Meet Oakley

Before clicking on "Ask about Oakley", please be aware that yes, she is available. If you want to learn more, or meet any of our dogs, you MUST fill in an application.

You might need sunglasses for this little ray of sunshine! Oakley is a beautiful, 3 year old female yellow Lab. She weighs 59 lbs., is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.

Oakley hails from South Carolina, is incredibly sweet and loves to bury her face in your armpit when she snuggles (which her fosters have found to be quite endearing)!

This sweet girl knows sit and come, is learning shake, and is an expert at lying in the "frog dog" position. She loves walks and does well in a front clip harness.

She's very curious about trucks and louder cars passing by, so she will need a fenced in yard and is not a good candidate for an invisible fence.

Oakley initially is leery of strangers and other dogs but with the guidance of a calm, experienced owner to ensure proper introductions, patience pays off in spades! She warms right up, then loves to play, and give snuggles and will be your friend forever.

Oakley would do best in a home with adults. She is being fostered in a home with another dog and they get along great. However, she isn’t a fan of cats.

During the day, Oakley has free roam of the mudroom and is completely trustworthy uncrated. At night, she sleeps quietly on a dog bed. She is completely house trained.

If you are looking to add some sweet sunshine to your home this summer, Oakley could be just the girl for you!
