Meet Nutmeg

Hi, my name is Nutmeg, but you can call me Nutty! My foster mom says if I were a show dog, my name would be 'Pretty in Pink'. I am a gentle, sweet, curious, and loving girl. I like to show off my toys. Sometimes, I'll even take my walks with a tennis ball in my mouth, just because I can! I am very good on my leash, especially when I am walked with a harness. I can be nervous and hesitant around men, but if they take the time to get to know me, I will greet them with tail wags and face kisses. When I'm not following the humans around, I like to relax on the couch or in my kennel. I am a very good listener, and always 'sit' before getting breakfast and dinner. I am very low maintenance, and I love being around my people!

I am currently available for Foster to Adopt as I am undergoing heartworm treatment. To qualify for foster to adopt, you must live within one hour of the shelter and be able to bring me in for my treatment appointments.
