Meet Nutmeg
Meet Nutmeg!
She was found as a stray in RI and is believed to be about a year old. She’s very intelligent and has learned some commands since she arrived. Due to time/resource restrictions at her current shelter she has not been tested with dogs, children, cats etc. However it’s a fair assumption that a young GSD who has not learned manners may not be a good fit with small children. She will need a home experienced with working breeds who has the time to fully train a young and unfocused GSD.
GSRRC policy does not require fences on adopter property for applicants, but we do take each dog on a case by case basis. Fenced homes will get preference for a dog like Nutmeg who was found as a stray.

***This dog is not currently surrendered to GSRRC and we have not formally evaluated her. All the information above has been provided to us by her current shelter. GSRRC will sometimes start searching for placement for a dog in a municipal shelter or similar facility while we coordinate resources in order to expedite the dogs removal from the shelter.
