Meet Nugget Barc

Nugget is a lively and playful puppy that is sure to put a smile on your face. Not just because of her striking tricolour markings, but because of her attitude AND the fact that sometimes, just sometimes, this cutie will remind you of a baby goat. Its something about the way her tongue lolls out of her mouth and her ears go back when in a certain puppy stance do you see it too or is it just us? LOL!

Nugget is confident and cheerful, and can stand up to her sister and brother during playtime she will definitely let them know if they trample over her or borrow her toy before shes done with it, lol. We can see her being a stellar walking buddy for someone, as long as you agree to settle down for snuggles afterward.

This little Nugget is so darn cute she is a tricolour puppy with soft black fur all over, with brown and white highlights. Her ears are edged in brown that matches the brown on her cheeks, eyebrows, and legs. And the thick white stripe on her face only highlights her most unusual nose its both pink and black and way too adorable. Nugget has white boots on each foot and beautiful markings on her chest and belly you will see them every time she rolls over for a belly rub or playtime (which is often). This playful pup is simply stunning you are sure to see lots of people looking twice at her when out for walks.

Nugget is very much the classic playful puppy and she will make you smile with all her puppy antics. She loves to roll, jump, nibble, and play with her siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. Nugget and her siblings adore chew toys and stuffies, and would enjoy having a variety to choose from. This litter and their mom were rescued from the City of Houstons BARC Animal Shelter, which is chronically over capacity.

Nugget is currently just 5 weeks old and about 15-20 pounds, but we guess she will be larger based on the size of her paws. We think she may be a Shepherd mix, but with rescue its always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one of the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place.

Nugget is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood.

You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend!

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
