Nova Mixed Breed New Paltz, NY

Just call me super Nova!! Hi, I'm your favorite new pocket-sized pal! Please may I sit in your lap? That is my absolute favorite!!

I'm a medium-energy girl who loves a good session of zoomies and also enjoys snoozing. I have a whole lot of ears, cuddles, kisses, and love to go around. I sometimes like to play with toys (my crinkly plush duck and Nylabone are my current favorites) and my puzzle bowl at meal time — yep, I'm a curious pup! My foster mom tells me I'm very smart. I know "sit," "stay," and "paw," and just recently got "down" down! Now I'm learning "leave it," "come," and "spin" for a fun one! I'm making great progress on crate training and am learning "place," and that I need to sit quietly in my crate while my meals are being prepared — I get so excited about food! Food is the best!

I can be a bit cautious outside at first, since there's so much to take in on my neighborhood walks. But I'm quickly getting used to my transitional leash and working on my dislike for bicycles, scooters, and skateboards. As long as they don't have those, I love meeting new people on walks!

I sleep through the night like a champ, and I don't usually mind being left alone. Sometimes I cry or bark for the first few minutes, but if you give me a Kong with some peanut butter or treats, I am happy to be distracted.

I would love to find a comfy and calm forever home where I can keep working my training and giving all of the cuddles!!
