Arf! Howdy! My name is North, and I am a three to four year old black lab / pittie mix. I'm a larger dog (I weigh around 65 lbs) with sleek black fur and espresso-colored eyes. My human friends say my gentle eyes are truly a reflection of my loving heart. I think they're right! :-)

Friends, I say this with all modesty ... I'm a pretty spectacular dog! Hee! It's true, though. I am super social and wiggly with my friends. I have a charming personality that instantly engages people, and I have super manners with grown folks. I easily share my food and toys -- and I *love* my toys! -- and I walk nicely on my leash. While I tug a bit, I correct easily and am always attentive to my handler. I even do tricks like sit, paw and down.

I do phenomenally well with the right canine playmate. I can be a bit selective about my dog company, but when I find a dog friend, I am playful and appropriate. If you have a pup of your own at home, please bring him or her along with you when you come to visit me. Hopefully, we'll be BFFs!

I am currently living in foster at Dusty's Doghouse, a local doggie daycare, in a room specially outfitted for me by Dr. Harvey's. I am such a lucky boy, because I get to play with my buddies!
