Noonan Grubbs English Setter & Labradoodle Mix Thompson's Station, TN

Noonan Grubbs is an approximately 5 month old mixed breed boy that currently weighs 31 pounds. This beautiful boy has some wonderful spotted markings on him that suggest he may have some orange English Setter in him and his coat, size and personality suggests some doodle in there as well. This is purely guesswork on our part! Noonan came to us after being picked up as a stray so we have no background information on him.
Noonan is a very friendly and outgoing boy that loves everyone! His tail is always wagging and he is always looking for a playmate to play fetch, tug or wrestle and run with. He believes that he is a lap dog and loves his human attention, belly rubs and praise! He will need an active family that is willing to exercise him not only with walks but with playtime and training. He enjoys being outside and will benefit from a fenced yard where he can play fetch and run with a canine friend equal in energy level. He is doing well with his housetraining and crates well during the day as well as at night but cannot be crated for a regular work day. Noonan is a smart boy but does have selective hearing- he’s a “I love everyone, let’s party” guy and because of his attitude, he can be a bit of a challenge to train. Noonan is not all that interested in doing what you want (he can hear…he just doesn’t care) - his focus is on having a good time. He has mastered the sit command and is doing great with his leash training. Noonan is the dog that is the life of the party and doesn't want to leave. If you are looking for a large breed, friendly and active boy, this boy is about as sweet as they come. He will do best with an experienced dog family with older kids only, a fenced in yard and a canine companion that can keep him active and happy.

Noonan Grubbs is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. He will be adopted with a neuter agreement due to his size and age. His adoption fee is $250 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six-week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Charlotte Blake.
