Meet Nola

Expert Snuggler, Aspiring Sprinter, Part-Time Suspicious Squirrel Watcher

Nola is a one-year-old Border Collie mix clocking in at a cool 35 lbs and a full-time vibe. She's the kind of dog who’ll give you zoomies in the morning and a perfect side-eye if your leash game isn't up to her standards. Equal parts brainy and bouncy, she’s got that classic herding-dog mix of energy and intuition—but don’t worry, she’s not trying to herd your kids. She actually loves them.

She starts out a little shy (social anxiety, but make it cute), but give her a minute—and maybe a snack—and you’ll unlock the cuddly, goofy side that makes her an instant favorite. She’s playful without being chaotic, energetic but thoughtful. She loves walks, gets along with other dogs (after a proper intro), and won’t try to micromanage your every move… unless you're holding a leash, in which case she will judge your pace.

Nola is crate trained, mostly house trained, and listens like she’s got AirPods in playing a podcast called "How to Be a Good Dog." She’s also respectful in the home, polite at the door (usually), and not mouthy with hands or furniture. She’s still young, though, so she’ll thrive with someone who’s ready to keep her brain and body working—think long walks, clicker training, or just letting her help you alphabetize your bookshelf.

Nola’s ideal home? Somewhere with a yard to stretch her legs and a human who gets that decompression is real. She’s a “take me on a walk, then let me crash on the couch” kind of girl, and she’s ready to swap squirrels for snuggles.
