Noemi's Story

Miss Noemi is a 1-2 year old pit mix. She came from one of our shelter partners. She was found as a stray in very bad condition. She was emaciated and had a stomach full of foreign bodies (it appeared to be possibly chicken bones on the X-rays). The shelter and veterinary staff treated her and were hopeful that she would pass everything without needing surgery. Luckily she did. Noemi also had some injuries to her front right leg. Externally they appear to have healed now. We had new X-rays taken and it showed bone remodeling, which means the bone is rebuilding itself. The doctor believes there may have been an infection in it at some point in time but is ok now. Otherwise Noemi is basically healthy. She is still a little thin but she has been gaining weight. She is a very sweet but timid dog. She seems to get along with other dogs, but does not care for cats. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Noemi please complete an application.
