Meet Noah
Introducing Noah! He is a 1 year old Tibetan Spaniel/Shetland Sheepdog mix and weighs 18lbs (some folks say he looks like a smaller version of a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever). Noah is a highly active boy who is very busy and is always on the go. He is full of boundless energy with a set of springs in his back legs - this boy can jump straight up as high as most people are tall. He would do great with a "job" and would excel in agility or flyball. Noah is a high energy pup that needs the opportunity to run daily in addition to leash walks - daily exercise in a physically fenced area is a must for him - a tired dog is a happy dog!
Noah has done very well with learning several basic commands with us and how to walk nicely on a leash. Noah is extremely intelligent and is very willing to please (he is SUPER food motivated which helps with his training). He has at times shown occasional quirky behaviors in regards to handling his legs and occasional territorial behavior in his pen or crate. Noah will succeed with an adopter who has experience with setting boundaries for dogs and who will provide him with opportunities for continued socialization and positive experiences in the real world. His adopter will need to commit to his continued training and daily needs to exercise both his mind and body. Noah will need to be the only dog in the home, however, he enjoys his time at Doggy Daycare and can be social with other dogs in public. No cats or children for Noah. Connecticut adopters only please. For more information about learning how to make Noah your next 4-legged family member, please contact Tracey at tracey.d@poainc.org.
