Ninnette's Story

NINNETTE

Meet your new dream girl. Ninnette, fka the "Christmas sweater dog".
She is a happy, bouncy, loving girl and will need an active family who gives her lots of reassurance to make her feel safe. Older kids ok, but she is a bit too spunky for young, smaller kids.

She came in off the streets — possibly after a year or more on her own — and she hasn't forgotten it. She's cautious with new people and new places, takes her time, reads the room. But once she decides you're her person? You'll know it. She becomes the most devoted, affectionate little shadow you've ever had.

She's house and crate trained, sharp as a tack, and endlessly playful. She gets along best with dogs smaller than her while politely ignoring the cats and tortoise.

Grooming is part of life — baths aren't her favorite, but with a little patience and a lot of love, she takes it in stride like the good girl she is. She will always need grooming to keep her cost under control from matting.

Her favorite place in the world is wherever you are. She'll spend her nights curled up beside you — until she quietly slips away to her own spot, where she can stretch out and dream about running marathons.

She is loyal, loving, and worth every bit of care it takes to earn her trust. She does have some separation anxiety.

We feel like she would be best in a home that is on the water, boats, etc...she seems really drawn to the water. She would absolutely need to be on leash whenever she is not in the home so she does not end up out in the wild like she was before. 🙁

Adoption includes microchip, vetting and spay.
