Nina*'s Story

All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step.
Meet Nina Nina is a 3-year-old French Bulldog with a heart as big as her personality. Though her rear legs are paralyzed from a past injury, Nina doesn’t let any of that slow her down—or dampen her spirit one bit. She’s a happy, friendly little potato who adores affection and loves getting attention from people. She is low energy but still playful. Nina is perfectly content lounging by your side, chewing on her favorite toys, or entertaining herself with squeaky fun. She’s also remarkably quiet but carries herself with the confidence of a much bigger dog. Nina enjoys meeting and playing with dogs of all sizes and does great on short strolls using her wheelchair, which lets her explore the world in her own way. She’s sweet, social, and full of joy despite her challenges. Because Nina can get a bit excited and may mouth during play, she’s best suited for a home without small children. With a patient, understanding family who can meet her special needs, Nina will truly flourish and repay that love with endless devotion. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with resilience, charm, and a whole lot of love to give, Nina may just be your perfect match

All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped.
The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
