Niko Shepherd Mix Portland, OR

Niko is a shepherd mix, 60 lbs, and about 2 yrs. old (although we would age him younger with lots of happy young energy). He is a high/medium energy dog. Niko is a happy, playful, confident dog who loves to play with his dog friends.

Niko’s ideal home is a person or couple who are looking for a young dog they can train to go on hikes and runs. He is still working on leash walking.

Niko’s foster home has found him to be house trained, working on leash training and crates up nicely when its his time (he sleeps in his crate and is crated when his family is at work). He is a playful dog that will do best with another playful dog like him. He is not an excessive barker but has a loud bark, so no shared walls for this boy. He needs a fenced yard. We will be placing him with kids over 10 yrs old only and no cats (he is not cat tested).

Niko wants you to know he is an expert dismantler of squeaky toys, he knows sit & down. He will sit for his meals and to go outside. He is a gentle treat taker. He said to make sure we told you he is a very sweet dog who wants to please you and will happily sit at your feet or give gentle kisses.

Niko is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, heartworm tested, had flea treatment, is dewormed and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $350. Apply here to adopt Niko
