Nikko Shiba Inu & Basenji Mix Newburyport, MA

Nikko is Japanese for "Sunshine" and that explains this boy to a T! Nikko was found lying on the side of a road near death and unable to move due to starvation and neglect on a West Virgina highway. He was nursed back to health and is now learning how wonderful life can really be. Nikko absolutely LOVES walks! He enjoys playing fetch and just running around and being silly. So his new family should definitely be active and ready to play! But at the same time he can hang on the couch and nap with you. His current foster home has another male Shiba and they get along very well, although we do need to separate them during feedings. Nikko is the SWEETEST boy and has the most amazing soulful eyes, and will definitely make any bad day sunny =)

Nikko has been through hell and back and deserves a loving family that is patient and willing to spoil this boy rotten for the rest of his life! He will absolutely give you so much back in return! "Nikko can be a little nervous and wince when people extend their hand to pet him but is learning that hands aren't for hitting anymore. He gladly accepts hugs and kisses but he is still learning to trust people"
